Lucknow: The CSIR-Indian Institute of Toxicology Research (CSIR-IITR), Lucknow, is hosting AIMFIN 2026, an Angel Investors Meet aimed at connecting innovative startups with investors, industry leaders and key stakeholders in the investment ecosystem. The two-day event, scheduled for October 9–10, is being organised by the institute’s Technology Development and Innovation Centre (TDIC) in association with CSIR Innovation Centre Mumbai (CSIR-ICM).
Supported by DBT-BIRAC, TDIC at CSIR-IITR has so far supported around 44 startups in developing their ideas and translating innovations into practical solutions. AIMFIN 2026 seeks to bridge the gap between technology-driven enterprises and potential investors by facilitating mentorship, strategic partnerships, industry engagement and funding opportunities.

Vinayak Nath, National President of Bharat Startup Innovation Society and Chair of the UP Startup Council, ASSOCHAM, will attend as the chief guest. Prabodh Trivedi, Director of CSIR-Central Institute of Medicinal and Aromatic Plants (CIMAP), Lucknow, will be the guest of honour, while Bhaskar Narayan, Director of CSIR-IITR, will preside over the event on October 9.
The meet will feature 12 startups pitching their indigenous technologies before investors and representatives of organisations including Bharat Startup Innovation Society, Apex Ventures, Adani Group, AMTZ Hyderabad, BioRx Ventures, ICICI Bank and POCT Lucknow.

The participating startups are developing solutions in human health, environmental sustainability, biotechnology, medical devices, agri-food technologies and other deep-tech sectors, addressing emerging societal and national challenges.
AIMFIN 2026 reflects CSIR-IITR’s commitment to promoting indigenous innovation, entrepreneurship and technology commercialisation. The platform is expected to help startups gain investor insights, industry connections and potential funding interest, while enabling investors to explore promising technologies emerging from India’s innovation ecosystem.
The initiative also aligns with the vision of Aatmanirbhar Bharat by supporting the growth of a stronger domestic deep-tech ecosystem.
